To ensure you get the most out of your iPhone, it's always a
good idea to make sure you have the very latest version of iPhone

on your iPhone. It's the software that makes your iPhone do

the iTunes software that you have installed on your PC. It's worth noting

Officially it is "iOS Firmware", but it's the same thing. All you should be concerned about is making
sure you have the latest iOS Firmware version installed on your

You can easily check which version of the iPhone iOS Firmware is
installed on your iPhone. Here's how... 1. Grab your iPhone.
2. Select the 'Settings' icon on the homescreen on your
iPhone.
3. Select 'General'.
4. Select 'About'.
The current "Version" installed on your iPhone will be shown. If the version shown is less than 5.0.1. I

Upgrading to the latest iPhone iOS Firmware version
is done using the iTunes software on your computer.
NOTE: I recommend that
you make sure you always have the latest version of iTunes installed on
your PC, before updating your iPhone iOS Firmware.

How to upgrade your iPhone iOS Firmware...
1. Connect your iPhone to your PC using the USB Data Cable.
2. Start iTunes on your PC.
3. Select your iPhone, which is now listed in the left hand
menu under the 'DEVICES' heading.
4. You are now on the 'SUMMARY' page for you iPhone.
5. Select 'Check for Update'.
If there is an iPhone iOS Firmware update available, you'll be
prompted to go through the steps to upgrade it.
